The devil roams this world like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, his demons seek to express themselves through people and animals. Whilst Christians cannot be possessed, we can be oppressed, e.g. spirits of infirmity, spirits of depression and anxiety, etc. I have personally never been led to do deliverance on a non believer, simply because they will just return and will be worse than before. The person needs to desire to be set free or they will just open the door again to demonic activity. Many of us come into our Christian walk bringing with us baggage from the past, meaning curses (generation curses, evil pronounced) occult practices (zodiac signs, fortune telling, yoga, eastern meditation, mind over matter.etc), cult beliefs (believing in a figure or person who is not Jesus-God). Often we a possible sign of demonic activity operating in ones life could be that you often feel no matter how hard you try things never seem to go right for you or perhaps hereditary diseases etc. Most of us need to be set free from demons, but what surprises me is that very little is taught about it in the mainstream. I have seen God do amazing things in the lives of people who have been oppressed. One lady was going to be sent to a mental home, my friends took her through deliverance and today she is well and happily married. Another lady had an injury to her wrist, the Lord said to me cast the demon out and she will be healed, the demon manifested in her by trying to get her to bite me,but God touched her in an amazing way. Often healing (physical or inner) goes hand in hand with deliverance. Here is a clip of a AA Allen who was used mightily of God in the area of healing and deliverance.
According to the bible there are 2 spiritual powers in existence on this planet; the Holy Spirit and His angels and Satan and his demons (devils, fallen angels).
Satan (Lucifer, the deceiver, the devil, Man of sin, Prince of Darkness etc) and his demons hate being exposed as they work behind the scenes in the minds, emotions, intellect and bodies of people. Whilst every human is responsible for his own actions and faces the consequences of our sins, the demonic influence is greater than we think or know. Just because it is unseen doesn't make them fictional characters. They are defeated foe and our job is to enforce their defeat, but just like in law, if you do not understand the law you cannot exercise legal authority. Satan only has as much power as we allow, otherwise he has no power in a believers life. If you believe he has power then you have just given him that power. Christ when He was crucified restored man and seated us next to Him (as His body) above principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. He has given us authority to bind (prevent them from being operational) demons and to cast them out, lets be aware and use that God given power. Some people think there is a demon behind every bush, I don't, I think there are two behind every bush. Lets not be scared to talk about these things they are real, they impact this world as Satan rakes havoc with the non believers and ignorant, he is god of this age, until Jesus returns.
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.
Often when praying for the manifestation of healing of arthritis we find there is bitterness and unfogiveness in a person's life. I'm not saying that is the case with everyone, however it might be beneficial for us to search your heart and think about close relationships that may have soured. Often when we get hurt, we can allow resentment in, with bitterness and unforgiveness following this results in us giving demons of infirmity and others a foothold. If you find that you do have bitterness and unforgiveness then repent of it and try to make right with those you may have offended. Then command those spirits of bitterness, unforgiveness to leave your soul and body in the name of Jesus Christ.
I once prayed for an old lady who had arthritis in the shin of her left leg. As I was praying for her the Lord said to me:"She has unforgiveness". I asked her: "Do you have unforgiveness in your heart towards anyone?" She sternly replied: "I hate my son in law". I said:"You have to forgive him, the bible says in Matthew 6:15: If you do not forgive others the Father will not forgive you". She said:"I can't". After much coaxing and persuading she eventually said : "I forgive him". That opened the door for God to work in her life. I prayed: "Spirit of arthritis I command you to leave her right now". Suddenly she started jumping around. She Said:" Something left my leg (left leg) I could feel the bones in my leg moving, it's gone into the other leg. I commanded it to get out of both legs and her body. By the time I left she was over joyed and could walk without anymore pain. As a result five others in her family received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour that evening. Glory to God.
Luke 13:10-17 Spirit of Infirmity
Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
How many times do we go to bed and say: "Lord tomorrow I'm going to have a devotion to You, every morning I am going to wake up early and spend time with You, I'm going to read 5 Chapters from the Old Testament and 5 from the New. I'm going to pray in the Spirit for at least 30 minutes every day and seek your face". The next morning the alarm clock goes off as was preordained the night before, giving you ample time for your devotion. Blurry eyed you pick up your bible page through the Old Testament thinking:" Forget Genesis, I have read the first chapter about a million times, you then page to Numbers:"Oh no, not Numbers". Then Exodus: "I'm tired of reading about Moses leading the people out of Egypt. You then flip further through the Old Testament and come across the Major prophets and decide to settle into Ezekiel, but think to yourself, I need to concentrate and I'm still sleepy, so you wander downstairs turn the central heating on, fill the kettle and make a warm cup of Brazilian coffee and dip your yummy Ouma Rusks in it. You then settle back into your cozy bed and begin reading Ezekiel Chapter 1, its gong great until a Facebook notification pops up, you respond and next thing your eyes spot a post in the Christian group that you belong to, because it's Christian it justifies you reading it whilst in devotion, but before you know it you find yourself engrossed in various comments. You realise that your time is slipping by, so you think; "I will start on the New Testament - Matthew". Off you go; Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas...... your eyelids become heavy, you begin to pray: "Lord bless our family and our dog, us four and no more, bless the heathen neighbour, I pray You begin to deal with him....". Again your alarm rings, phew devotion is finally over. Is this true? or is it true? Don't answer it. One thing I noticed about Rev.Dr. Billy Graham is he kept things simple, very simple. He determined to put God first, his wife second and then his family. He stayed away from home for months on end from his beloved family for the sake of the King of Kings, but he made sure he also stayed away from women. Whilst he had a profound understanding of the bible, his priority centred on the most important and simplest message in the bible, the gospel, without it how would we hear and how would we be saved? It is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe. It was his willful determination and outright conviction to serve God and preach without compromise. God saw his heart and therefore honoured him among men. It is true to say that God can keep us from temptation, but it is subject to how much we desire and will it. As long as we put other things above God; relationships (sex), business (money), socialising (drink), etc. our will to serve Him lacks that conviction to carry us and it undermines the importance of giving Him our first fruits, our best fruit. We often offer rotten fruit, our scraps, but we wouldn't dare consider offering it to even to our bosses never-mind royalty or presidents. So why would we think this is acceptable to our Lord?
Malachi 1:12-14 “But you profane it, In that you say,
‘The table of the Lord is defiled; And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.’
13 You also say,‘Oh, what a weariness!’And you sneer at it,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
“And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus you bring an offering!
Should I accept this from your hand?”
Says the Lord. “But cursed be the deceiver
Who has in his flock a male,
And takes a vow,
But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished--
For I am a great King,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“And My name is to be feared among the nations.
Through prophet Malachi God is saying the peoples offerings are not acceptable and if they truly loved Him with their hearts their deeds would line up with their hearts. They would not be offering up lame, sick or even stolen sheep as an offering to Him. When are our deeds going to line up with our lips towards the Lord!!! We need integrity, congruence and conviction in what we believe, it is all determined by our will.
I once met a school teacher on the internet, she was teaching in a catholic school in the Bronx. God told me to ask her to pray for her children in her class every day. So, she decided to tell them to write up prayer requests and put them under their pillows and when they go to sleep they were to pray over their prayer requests every night. When God had answered the prayer, they were to bring it into school and put it in the Answered Prayer Box. The next day whilst I was sitting in my lounge in England and she was in her apartment in New York I prayed for her to be Baptised in the Holy Spirit, God touched her in an amazing way. Whilst praying for her I saw a vision, in the vision I saw her raising her hands to the Lord in the classroom and as she did the kids began to raise their hands and the Spirit of God moved through the classroom. I told her if she in-acted the vision, God would move through her classroom and touch her children in a glorious way. The next day in class she lifted her hands to the Lord, as she did that the 7 year old's in her class lifted their hands and suddenly the Holy Spirit’s presence began to fill the classroom. Some children began to laugh with joy, others began to sob, others began jumping around as God touched them. Every day the students had answered prayer, every day they would give glory to God and every day the glory would fill the class until the end of the school year. Parents began to be intrigued as to why their children were acting differently, eventually the headmistress made her way to the class to investigate the phenomenon that was taking place. The children didn't want to go home, they just wanted to be in the presence of the Lord. The one little boy told the teacher:” Mam I do not want to go home, if I go home the Holy Spirit won't come with me”.
It was amazing how God used this teacher just through her faith and obedience. Revival broke out. Her heart was just so open to God, she had never experienced the move of the Holy Spirit until she received baptism in the Holy Spirit
if He can use a donkey to speak, He can use you and I .
Life to Life Everlasting
I run to you with my arms open wide
My vulnerability only in You do I confide
Your eyes sparkling like diamonds and your voice gentle & strong
I sit on Your lap running my fingers through Your beard white and long
You are my everlasting Daddy, full of love, mercy & grace
Oh how wonderful it is to see You face to face
My spirit free from sin & pain
Now in paradise I with You reign

One of two things will happen this year. It can be a year of indulgence, pleasure, wealth, fame, living in the world and not accomplishing those things God has called us to or we can cut off the things that would hold us down and reach forward towards the upward call of God, where we will find fulfilment, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Where the reward is not in temporal things, but in the riches of heaven, it is our choice.
Philippians 3:13: Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
There are those who do not desire the things of God and would seek to bring us down as they lust after the things of this world, who have no conscience or shame, but for their own self-indulgence.
What fellowship hath light with darkness, be ye not unequally yoked with non-believers.
Let us not be entertained by workers of iniquity and be drawn into their flattering words and perverted lifestyles, allowing the things of the world to choke the Word which is in us. We are saints of God and Kings. Father God loves us as much as He loves Yeshua His Son. We are seated with Yeshua in heavenly places, above principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness. We are spiritual kings and priests.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;
Many of us are called, but few are chosen. Many of us have been called, but we have done our own thing. Are we going to let another year slip by as the 12th hour approaches? When we stand before God will He say: “Well done my good and faithful servant?”. Let this year not go by without God choosing us. It’s time to be ruthless and cut off all the deadwood that would prevent us from fulfilling the call of God and putting the King of Kings first. Which one of those two things will happen for you this year?
