After breakfast of a banana and milk, well I thought it was milk but it turned out to be buttermilk, a welcome surprise, I made my way back to Spokes for them to fit my bike stand. I received a call from Tammy the Air Stewardess I mentioned earlier and we agreed to meet at Georges house (George Washington- silly billy).
I had about 40 minutes to cycle 6.3 miles along the Potomac Cycle Route to meet up with Tammy. The route is beautiful as it runs along the wide banks of the river. I was tempted to stop and take a dip,but a Brazilian cyclist i met along the way warned me of the strong currents not to mention a chap said it was infested with bull sharks. I thought how would they like to meet a hippo, that being me. Apparently 3 people had drowned in the river during that last week, but due to the time constraint raced on just like the South African cyclist Froome who had won Tour de France. He he, I am sure I am going to get flak for that comment from the British bloggers.
About an hour and a half later I made it to Georges house, Tammy joined me at the watering hole and we sat talking about God, ethnic groups and Mandela. i enjoyed the conversation very much, she is a very good listener and I did most of the talking, sorry Tammy. Before we parted we prayed and I made my way to find a camping spot for the night. The only camping I used to like was camping in a 5 star hotel, however i am getting used to it.
