It was 5.30 a.m. - I had a longer nap - I was back on Route 1, it was colder that morning, but the sunrise was beautiful as can be seen in the pic.
The chap I met yesterday advised me to turn off Route 1 and travel along Route 30 to West Point ( military academy), and onto Virginia Beach. I had intended to do that before I started my travels but thought it would be a shorter route to Jacksonville, Florida if I ploughed on along Route 1 to Richmond. I took his advice and veered east along route 30.

An old log cabin from way back when, it appears nobody uses it.
I met Dave the postman, he said he wished he could do what I am doing but his knees were giving him trouble. I asked if he was a believer ,which he affirmed and then I prayed for his knees to be healed.

I found an old garage/shop that had been there since 1921, like in the good old days.
I met David an old time Pentacostal store keeper. He was not the most chatty chap but told it the way it is. I was just fascinated by the shop because it felt like I was in the middle of nowhere but dragged back to the early 1900's. I guess I was irritating him more than anything else. They still sold old soda drinks in glass bottles like 7up. I ordered myself a homemade BBQ Sandwitch, which was like a shredded (pulled) pork in a bun & coleslaw with BBQ Sauce for $1.49.

David looking business like. We prayed together for souls to be saved. David is 72 and has no aches or pains, he walks in perfect health by the grace of God.
I had cycled 49 miles before finding a lovely church historical church building which was used mainly for weddings, St Johns Church which was built in the 1700's and and again restored. Seeing as no one was around, I camped there.
